Pool Party

The whole family went to church on Sunday, it was so funny, we took up three pews! But it was nice to have everyone there. Then the women and kids went to breakfast while the men went to move Ben's plane. (Yes, apparently it takes 4 men to fly a plane to Sebring). After breakfast, Kerry, Mom, Joyce and I went to Mom's new house and laid out on the deck. We got fried but we had a nice time talking. While we were at the lake everyone else went out to camp with the kids and rode around. We got back together at Mom's house for dinner. Jesse was hot I guess because he jumped into the pool which started a pool party! The kids got there and got their suits on and jumped in. They had a great time! Then Aunt Diane was talking to the kids over the edge of the pool and Uncle David walked up and pushed her in. It was funny! After a little bit, Mike showed the kids what Jessie could do. He started throwing toys in the pool and Jessie would go get them. The kids were fascinated! Soon, they each wanted to throw it in, then they wanted to tell her "back", the order to go get it. The kids were just so cute with it all, they were amazed that Mike could tell her to stop and direct her where to go. After Jessie's "show and tell", we ate dinner. Hogan couldn't get enough of the fish and Ben was shocked that Kerri made such good potato salad. After dinner most of us had to drive back to Fort Lauderdale so we all left (before dark) tired from the big weekend but happy we had a such a good weekend.

Grandma's 80!

So, it's true, my family will find any reason to get together. We just love being together and I have no problem with it. We are loud and unorganized when we get together. We stop at Publix 10 times during any party or get together that we have and I'm not exaggerating! But we love to have fun with each other. I couldn't ask for a better family. The older I get the better they get too! Our family is growing constantly and a "small" get together includes no less than 15 people.
This time we got together for Grandma's 80th birthday. Dad planned to have it at their favorite restaurant and since we had 30 people we had our own private room. My aunt Diane and uncle David surprised Grandma but coming in from out of town and my aunt Deena and uncle Rich came up from the Keys. Kerry and Jesse and his mom came up, Ben and Kerri came up with their kids and our cousin Jackie, and Mike and I came up too. Then Grandma's two sisters Betty Anne and Emma Jane came too with Uncle Dick. Everyone showed up at the restaurant and Grandma never knew what Dad was planning! I think she had a great birthday, one she won't ever forget! She was so surprised to see Aunt Diane and Uncle David and then her sisters that I thought she was going to cry! Well, enjoy the pictures and see what a great time we had.

Bird Watchin'

The new place we are staying at is so much better than the old one. Jessie definitely likes it better, that's for sure. She spends all day sitting on the couch and looking out the window. When she gets tired she just lays on the back of the couch and sleeps. She thinks she's a cat I swear! She looks so funny though! She just loves looking out the window and watching what's going on out there. She's like that when we are home too, but she sits in the chairs on the porch and looks around. She's definitely special!

Attack!!

Mike and Jessie's favorite way to show me they love me is by "attacking" me. They gang up on me all the time. I hear them sneaking into a room or hiding behind a wall or door until I come out so they can scare me. Mike will sometimes hold me and tell Jessie to "give her Mama a kiss" which gets her o so excited and she slobbers all over my face. And her breath smells awful! It's funny most of the time. It's our little game but it is pretty gross when she slobbers all over me!
