Repeating

Isn't it funny how we can be writing a normal word and it just doesn't look right. We wonder if we spelled "sky" correctly. That's what it's been like lately with Elizabeth learning so many words. We try to decipher what she's saying and when we do, we excitedly encourage her to say it again and again, to really hear the way we pronounce it. Like A,B,C's. She say "A B D D" So I say "C" over and over again until I stop and start saying it to myself because suddenly I just don't know if I'm pronouncing it right! It's so much fun though to see how much she is learning and saying. She knows to ask us to watch her Baby Einstein videos. She says "Stein! Stein!"
Really she's a parrot, repeating everything we say that has any interest to her. And, it seems to me, that she picks up on things very quickly. If she's interested in it.
The other day some kids were riding bikes around the park and she was very interested in them. So I taught her "bike". The next day we're walking around and she sees a bike and says, "bike".
We have a lot of geese and ducks up here. In our park especially, there's more than 2 dozen geese walking around. We go up and feed them and she says "Geese! Geese!" When we walk away she turns and says "Bye!! Bye!!" Well, she was sitting on the couch and Mike has goose hunting on. She sat there for a couple minutes just watching. Mike and I hasn't said anything, we were both busy with whatever, and Elizabeth just points to the screen and says "Geese". We both looked at each other and then laughed and encouraged her.
It's things like that, that totally amaze me about her. She is such a person now, constantly learning. I can tell she will have a very outgoing personality too. Whenever we leave a store she says "bye" to everyone she passes. It's so funny and makes everyone (well, most people) smile and respond!
Well, I'm done gushing about her for now. I know you can tell I'm a typical mom who's kid is the smartest around! But to me, she is! =D Enjoy the pictures!

Elizabeth loves it! She's always trying to honk a fake horn.

Aunt Kerry bought this shirt for her.

It's so adorable on her.

I found a couple parks up here that have beaches too.

I'm surprised at how many ducks and geese are up here!

We had a great time playing in the water

This is the view across the lake

Another view

Elizabeth and Mama

It's nice to go somewhere where there are other mothers with their kids. It makes you feel a little safer going out and doing new things.

Her cute hat that she won't wear for more than a minute.

Elizabeth has recently become attached to her baby. She wants to take her EVERYWHERE. We let her. It's a source of comfort so that's fine with us. Well, I decided that it'd be fun to buy her some play stuff for her baby.

And she LOVES it! She would put her baby in the stroller and take her out. In and Out.

Push the stroller, stop, take baby out. Put her back in.

Uh-Oh! Baby fell out!

Retrieving her baby.

I love how she holds her. It's so funny how she will walk around holding one leg or an arm.

The funniest thing she's done with this stroller is when she wants to move it or turn it, she picks it up!

We bought her golf clubs and she's interested in it sometimes. We make a big deal about her hitting the ball.

It so entertaining to watch her try to hit it. You can see her concentrating.

We went into a shady part of the field yesterday and I just let her run around.

She would stop playing, feed her baby, and then put it back in the stroller.

At least her head is in the stroller...

Of course, she's never distracted enough to forget about the rocks. Oh the many rocks.

And she's always so proud to share them!

Her energy astounds me some days. I work so hard to get her energy out that some days I wear out way before her!

She couldn't get it up the hill...

...so she squats down and gets a good grip on it...
(Good form, eh?!)

And turns around...

...and carries it to where she wants it!

The attachment she has to her baby came over night, literally. One day she woke up and wanted her baby with her at all times.

Vacation

Home for Vacation

We were home for a day and E was already into the dirt!!

Sunny in Florida

She broke her sunglasses... She's still having fun in her pool though.

I think she likes the hose more than the pool.

Taking a break to rehydrate

And a little rest

Playing in the sand at Mom and Dad's house

Poor kid really needs some sunglasses

Throwing sand into the water.

Aunt Kerry showing her some fish

She wasn't very keen on going in too deep.

Cheese!

Elizabeth and Mommy

Her new table

She likes to color and get in and out of the seat.

Making cinnamon rolls

With GiGi!

Needing the dough

She loved every second of it!

Making mud pies

While Jessie plays in the grass

I love being able to go outside and just let E and Jessie run around.

She's riding on her little car. She doesn't know how to push it on her own so I pushed it for her.

Hm... Kid with the hose and dog in the pool. Something's backwards...

I just can't explain how great it is to let her run around.

Riding in Dad's boat.

She LOVES going in the boat.

It's her thing to do with Dad

She tries to put the key in the hole but can never manage to do it. She honks the horn and pretends to drive. It's a fun time!
